Currently in post-production on his debut comedy feature film Squids, Ryan Zorzut is a filmmaker with a deep love for silly, deadpan comedy with heart.

His first foray into long-form narrative was a web-series that he wrote and produced in 2017 called The Y2K Bug, an absurd comedy set in 1999 which parodied popular television shows of that time. For over ten years, he has performed improvised and sketch comedy all across Australia in various live shows and festivals including Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Perth Fringe World Festival, and is a long-serving cast member of the Improv Conspiracy Theatre. He completed the Bachelor of Film and Television at Swinburne University of Technology in 2012, and then the Masters of Screenwriting at the University of Melbourne (VCA) in 2019. He has also studied Sketch Writing at the renowned Second City Theatre in Chicago.
